The Personal Consumption Expenditures Price Index (PCE) reported last week came in hotter than expected. The market and the Fed were wanting to see this important inflation indicator to rollover. The result of the economic data lately has pushed the Federal Funds Futures rate up to a 5.4% peak, or terminal rate, up from 4.9% of several weeks ago.
